Through our Fresh Fish Donations, FHM distributes high-quality, fresh-caught fish directly to community members in need and via distribution hubs, ensuring that healthy protein reaches families, kūpuna, and keiki who may otherwise go without.
Additionally, our Creation of Hot Meals program brings together Maui’s dedicated chefs to craft warm, nourishing meals that support our community’s health and dignity. Fisher Support
Fresh Help Maui is dedicated to supporting Maui and Molokai’s fishing industry, which has faced significant setbacks, losing nearly 70% of its business due to the Front Street fires. Recognizing the vital role that fishing has played in sustaining our island communities for centuries, our goal is to provide stability for local fishers by fostering a fair and balanced market.
We strive to set fair market prices that honor the labor and tradition of our fishing industry, ensuring fishers can continue their work with dignity and financial security. By creating avenues for fresh, locally caught fish to reach both consumers and those in need, we are helping to preserve an essential part of our island’s heritage while securing a future for our fishing communities.
